My Story

Be unique, stand proud & don't let society define you...!

Owes its beginnings as a "Bright" idea during a drunken night with mates,  yes those nights when all the hair brain ideas come to light..    Lol..

So off the back of a convo a couple of mates were having. About the cost of a necklace (some new trendy pendant thing, I wasn't paying much attention).

That apparently wasn't that special anyway apparently but was a couple hundred dollars.  The limited options out there, when it comes to shops or online stores for guys in general with decent prices.

While listening in to the back end of this convo -  I decided to add my two cents worth;

Yeah and the price tag on basic chains...  Like seriously!  I'm broke enough as it is... Why is it so expensive for mens jewellery?

Also you go and click into the mens collections on these sites only to find it's empty or has one item.... What's the point of that...  Or the sites are all overseas businesses.

I was also going on about how it cant be that hard,   all we need is a simple online store.  An Aussie online store that has basic chains & accessories that guys actually wear with decent prices and is good quality....

Then one of my mates,  Ya know that one who will give you SASS before saying hello.  Is always the one to criticise your decision on coming out in public wearing what you have.

Turns and says;   "Well let's see you do it then"
I couldn't help myself could I;   "I will,  it can't be that hard".

I'll show him, I can do this.....  Lol...

( Weeks, Months and a year or so later - Oh WTF was I thinkin... "I won't come up with these idea's while drinking again )

"Kaotic" Jewellery & Accessories was created.  I decided I'm going into this with an open mind.

If it works perfect keep looking forward,  If it doesn't and it fails so be it.  As long as I gave it a crack.

The name came during the multiple attempts working out a product line.  After these failed attempts to come up with a simple idea.  I sat back swearing and asking myself why! and what was I thinking...

While looking at all the lists and thinking,  what a chaotic mess.  I had a Light bulb moment - Oh why not call this Chaotic spell it with a K and have mix up of items and go from there...

My plan launch with a small collection of items to kick start,  keep things simple & easy to manage myself while working full time.  I also decided to save the money I needed and use what little savings I had to get the ball rolling.

Without the stress of repaying a business loan, while getting the site out there.

Yep,  it was hard at times and took time to save the start up cost needed.
Once I launch the store and it begins to grow, then start adding more items as time goes by.

I'm working directly with a couple of manufacturers, this may change based on product quality and customer feedback.  I selected them based on buyer feedback, product quality, range and price.

Allowing opportunity to build a working relationship with the people who are creating the jewellery.  This also ensures better quality control measures from the manufacturer as appose to buying through a wholesaler.
Sustainable & Ethical Practices during the manufacturing of the jewellery was also an important factor.

At this stage the website is a solo operation. I will continue working full time during the day and operate the online store of a night.
Processing, packing orders, responding to customer enquiries along with general website operations I'm completing myself.

Thanks in advance for supporting my small start up and your understanding during the first few months.
It's going to be work in progress as I find my feet, I also encourage any constructive feedback, tips or pointers.

** Lol...  yeah I know..  you will probably find typo's and things wrong with the site.  I've done everything myself,  but as I find things I'll fix it...  Maybe...  ha ha
